COMPANY PROFILE

In 1981 Vincent D. Agbayani and his spouse Maria L. Agbayani, who today serves as the Chief Financial Officer, commenced its humble beginnings with a pickup truck and set of hand tools.  At great risk their ultimate goal was to provide gainful employment opportunities while creating an avenue for financial independence with hopes for an economic security.   From these humble beginnings Vince & Maria added the necessary elements to the company that would eventually become one of the largest minority owned construction company in California. In 1984 the company became a Corporation and since then has maintained the title of Agbayani Construction Corporation, or “ACC”.    More than 30 years of experience are exemplified by a constant desire for more education and information.

An undergraduate of Engineering, Vincent Agbayani advanced through the ranks, from a construction laborer to a Plant Engineer at Lone Star Industries.  With his career path still ahead he developed a new process and attitude for the construction industry.    Realizing the need for both the customer and worker, Vincent Agbayani saw a more complete picture of the industry elements necessary for efficiency and complete satisfaction.

ACC’s business strategy is centered around its core competence of “tenant improvement”.   Within this core ACC has excelled by successfully completing complex projects that require working in structures that are fully occupied.  This requires detailed scheduling, and systematic implementation methods that eliminate any interference to the building operations and people that live and work in the structures.  ACC’s proven success in this type of construction and maintenance is exemplified in its work in hospitals, airports, child care centers  and military family housing projects.

ACC performs each project with a win-win mindset in order to enhance the lives of  the people who work, live and play in the structures it maintains, builds and remodels”.

Since 1984 ACC and Vincent Agbayani have received more than 50 awards and certifications including the prestigious United States National Small Business Firm award, and the United States Small Business Administration Minority award.

Community, civically, and industry responsible, Mr. Agbayani has served as Chairman of the Board for a National Bank, and participated on numerous Business Advisory Boards such as: the Congressional Small Business Forum,  California State Small Business, and Government Capital Formation Forum.

Vince and Maria share their time and generosity because they truly believe that success is only measured by what is given back; especially concerning various community and charitable organizations.   Their philosophy also transcends to its employees.  They encourage the staff to take part in community activities such as taking an active role in youth organizations, or volunteering for community outreach programs and supporting educational programs.  By instilling a philanthropic culture within ACC, they ensure that the whole ACC team is successful.
